Summary: If you were a kid stuck on an island full of dinosaurs with no way out, you'd either realize you’re in a "Jurassic Park" sequel, or you're dead. The laws of nature govern such a place like none other, and you'll need all of your wits and affinity for such creatures to get out alive. Also, an extra hand and time travel always helps.

History: One day, a freak accident involving a plane and a strange crystal sends young Lucas to an unknown island full of anachronistic artifacts and prehistoric creatures. Chief among them is, of course, a T-Rex with an attitude problem. However, he is not alone. A girl from the 50s named Kate was also stranded here under similar circumstances. As it turns out, the crystals, known as sing song stones, attract planes from random time periods to this island. Soon the two, through their smarts and even some taming of the local wildlife, are determined to figure out a means of getting back to where they need to be.

Notable Kills: None.

Final Fate: After facing both carnivorous flora and fauna, the two make it to a portal formed by a combination of the crystal and their pet Sinornithosaurus Mimos' mimicry, and at first it seems that only Lucas makes it through. However, he then learns in the present that his grandmother is a modern Kate, who wins acclaim from her findings on the island.

Powers/Abilities: Mimos can mimic any sound he hears, much like a parrot.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-For the most part, Dinosaur Island is actually a rather peaceful place full of dinosaurs and other prehistoric life minding their own business. Of course, then you get to the predators and it takes a turn. The T-Rex in particular is a fearsome powerhouse, even if its color scheme is a little ridiculous. Also, the CGI, while definitely not the worst we’ve seen, is not quite at the point where things look totally realistic. But it's a commendable effort, nonetheless.

Trivia: -It has been a constant debate as to whether T-Rex had feathers or not. As of this writing, the top scientists have agreed that while it may have started with a feathery coat as a juvenile, it eventually shed this into adulthood, having next to none at that stage. Of course, the recent discourse is about whether it had lips or not.

-Sinornithosaurus, Latin/Greek for "Chinese Bird-Lizard", was a small early Cretaceous dromeosaurid from the Yixian Formation in China, and one of the most primitive, seeing how it had more in common with its Jurassic predecessor, Archaeopteryx. There was some speculation that it had a venomous bite, seeing as how its upper teeth had most of the signs, but there was too much evidence to the contrary to make such a theory credible, such as how its elongated teeth might have been due to coming out of their sockets, and the grooves in them being a common therapod trait.
